California Targets Big Screen TVs

The California Energy Commission issued proposed new rules that will require newly manufactured televisions to be more energy efficient.  Beginning in 2011, televisions sold in California will consume an average of 33 percent less energy than they do today.  In 2013, televisions would have to consume 49 percent less energy on average.
